Our next cat-titled game actually features a feline as its main character, and he’s quite possibly the fattest thing I’ve ever seen. Garfield’s got nothing on this guy, the blue fella’s actually round.

He may be fat but he sure is cute.

The story of Sushi Cat is charmingly told in cut scenes, with our blobby friend having a cute, if rather overzealous, personality. But what it boils down to is this: Sushi Cat wants to get laid.

Yup, Sushi Cat has an eye for the lady kitties (who are pink, naturally) but the only way he can get to them is by gaining weight by eating sushi.

You have to help him eat a set amount of sushi in each of the 15 levels while scoring as many points as possible. You do this by dropping him down into the level and watch as he bounces off objects and gobbles up sushi until he finally lands in one of the boxes at the bottom of the level.

It’s basically like one of those old fun fair games where you drop a ball into a board covered with pegs and hope it falls into the highest scoring slot.

Go forth and stuff your adorable face.

Once you’ve dropped your kitty you have no control over it, so you spend more time watching than actually playing. But it is surprisingly good fun and is well executed.

It’s a score attack game, so there are several bonuses you can pick up along the way for eating all the sushi in a level or getting a cat into each of the five boxes at the bottom.

The cat also grows bigger the more you eat in a single go, which can lead to him getting quite enormous, meaning more points. This can very occasionally lead to frustration, as he can get stuck if you’re very unlucky, meaning you have to start the level over.

He’s also highly flexible as well, which is a good thing as otherwise that would probably really hurt.

The music gives the game an Oriental flavour (lol) and as in Copy Cat, gives the game a perfect atmosphere.

This game is also quite relaxing to play but has the bonus of having an enormously fat kitty as its protagonist.
