Hi, my name's Rick and I'm the writer for GP Studios.
It's been a long while since we released a game now and there's been a couple of reasons for that.
The main reason is Tom has been playing about with a lot of different genres, trying to find one that he wanted to work on the most. Things he's looked at (and done a fair bit of coding for) include:
A tower defence game in the Gemcraft mould, an isometric RPG similar to Vandal Hearts on the PS1, and a kinda uncategorisable game that's a mega-expanded version of Stick RPG.
And for each one he's done the basic groundwork so he can just come back to them and start coding away... except after he's made this current game he's going to start working with Action Script 3 so will basically have to learn everything all over again.
But hey, that's cool.
For each of those three games above, I already have a script more or less written for them. It's just a case of getting this new game done.
For anyone wondering why it's taking such a long time, the answer's right here:
I've written about 30,000 words minimum for it so far and I'm still not finished. Erk. Bunny Invasion 2 was only 2,000. The game wasn't supposed to be anything as big as this when we got started but we got a little carried away.
Anyway, it's gonna be a little while before this game comes out so in the meantime I've written ANOTHER script (10,000 words in a single day! You know it's gonna be silly) for a simpler game that Dave should hopefully be able to start coding soon. More news on this one when it happens...
